The following is the Privacy Statement for The CISO Law Firm (“TCLF”):

This Privacy Statement is related to the TCLF’s website (the “Website”) and any electronic messages related to the Website. This Privacy Statement does not apply to any third-party websites that are linked to or from the Website.

Your ongoing use of the Website means that you fully accept our Privacy Statement and any subsequent changes to the Statement.

How Does TCLF Collect Your Information?

TCLF may request your personal contact information, including first name, last name, address, phone number(s), and email address. We collect general information about the legal matter(s) you are contacting us about, your time on our Website, your general location, IP address, and similar analytical data to help us learn more about our client base.

This information is mostly collected from the contact forms you fill out or emails you send to TCLF. However, some analytical data, such as your general location and IP address, is collected as you navigate the Website. TCLF may also receive information about you from third-party sites the Website links to.

What Does TCLF Do With Your Information?

The primary purpose of collecting this information is to help TCLF better understand our client base. TCLF is better able to provide services that are tailored to our clients’ needs when we know more about our clients.

When Do We Disclose Your Information?

TCLF only discloses your information when necessary to complete the work you have hired TCLF to do. That means:

  • When you have an open client matter with TCLF that requires the disclosure of your information

  • When a third-party vendor or service provider requires this information to help TCLF complete your client matter. Under these circumstances, the third-party vendor or service provider would also be legally required to protect your client information and keep it confidential

  • When you have given TCLF express written consent to share your client information

  • If TCLF is ever sold to or merged with another legal entity.

You may contact us with questions about the Privacy Statement at any time by sending an email to privacy[at]cisolawfirm.com.

Use of Cookies

We use browser session cookies, which are temporary cookies that are erased from your device’s memory when you close your Internet browser or turn your computer off, and persistent cookies, which are stored on your device until they expire, unless you delete them before that time.  Cookie types include:

  • Essential. These items are required to enable basic website functionality.

  • Marketing. These items are used to deliver advertising that is more relevant to you and your interests. They may also be used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and to help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaign. Advertising networks usually place them with the website operator’s permission.

  • Personalization. These items allow the website to remember choices you make (such as your user name, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. For example, a website may provide you with local weather reports or traffic news by storing data about your current location.

  • Analytics. These items help the website operator understand how their website performs, how visitors interact with the site, and whether there are technical issues. This storage type usually doesn’t collect information that identifies a visitor.

  6. The right to take certain personal data and use it with another service or company;

  7. The right to object to the personal data being collected unless TCLF can show that the data is going to be used for legitimate purposes;
